I am a compassionate Occupational Therapist who graduated with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from Auckland University of Technology in 2002. My career began in the public sector, where I worked in adult mental health services before moving into the specialist field of perinatal mental health. I spent nine years in this area, developing extensive experience in women’s health and women’s mental health.
After taking time away from clinical work to be at home with my children, I returned to practice in the private rehabilitation sector. Since then, I have worked across a range of ACC community rehabilitation contracts, further strengthening my skills and broadening my clinical experience. Mental health has remained a key area of interest and strength for me over the past seven years.
My work includes supporting individuals with brain injury rehabilitation, including both serious injuries and concussion. I am particularly focused on helping people regain everyday function, independence, and quality of life following injury. My approach is strongly client-centred, with an emphasis on overall wellbeing, and mental health. I am committed to supporting individuals to return to their highest possible level of function and to achieve the goals that matter most to them.
In my personal time, I value connection, wellbeing, and balance. I have a large family and enjoy spending time together, and I also ride my much-loved horse most days, which supports both my physical and mental wellbeing.
