Hf you hurt yourself but you can identify the cause and are able to manage it  (i.e. a sprain or strain) then you should follow the RICEM (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation, Movement) regime, immediately after and for up to 48 hours following the injury. How does Physiotherapy Work?

Physiotherapy is a partnership between you and your physiotherapist.

Physio can support you with many issues, but at the centre of it all is your goal, whether that’s reducing pain or dysfunction, getting back to school, work, sport, or other things you love. Your physiotherapist will work with you to define clear, tangible goals, outline the milestones along the way, explain your role in the process (such as completing prescribed exercises), and discuss the treatment options and likely timeframes.

Your needs and goals are central to the entire journey. Physiotherapy isn’t a passive therapy, your engagement plays a key role in achieving the best outcome.
