Kristy Trickett

Kristy is a passionate Occupational Therapist who graduated with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from Otago Polytechnic in 2004. Her career began in the public sector, where she gained broad experience across acute and rehabilitation settings, working with a wide range of health conditions.

It was during this time that she developed a strong interest in supporting individuals with acquired and traumatic brain injuries.
Over the past 11 years, Kristy has worked in the private sector, initially focusing on return-to-work rehabilitation following injury. She now specialises in brain injury rehabilitation, with a particular focus on preventing prolonged concussion symptoms through early assessment, education, and intervention—supporting individuals to regain everyday function and quality of life.
Kristy is committed to holistic, client-centred care that empowers people from all walks of life to realise their full potential. Her approach is grounded in equity, ensuring that every person receives care that is fair, inclusive, and tailored to their unique needs and circumstances.
Outside of work, Kristy enjoys spending time with her whānau and making the most of the Wairarapa sun.
